Every year I am more proud of the project started 3 1/2 years ago to honor children fighting cancer and gifting their parents with a professional portrait of their little warrior. Some parents will be able to look back at their portrait and remember a very challenging time in their child’s life where they could do nothing more than encourage and pray. For some parents, this will be a lasting memory of a life cut short by a deadly disease.
This year’s unveiling included previous honorees sporting a new head of hair. It also included 3 Dallas Cowboys: Dez Bryant, Miles Austin and Demarco Murray who paid a surprise visit to honor Trey Sampson who has a very troubling prognosis along with the rest of this year’s honored children.
Once again, a thank you to Meagan Harris, founder of the portrait project (and client extraordinaire) for all your do to make the unveiling a heart touching event for all who attend.
Below are the unveiled portraits of the 2014 Portrait Project Recipients.
